You need plenty of water during hot summer months, when you're outside and way more sweaty, but that doesn't mean you should chuck the water bottle as temps start to fall.

You lose fluid all day long, during every season, thanks to things like breathing and evaporation from the skin. And there are lots of benefits to drinking enough water--it helps balance your body fluids, keeps your skin looking fresher, flushes out your kidneys, and can even help control how many calories you eat--but sometimes we just plain forget to do it. Luckily, you get some water through the foods you eat too, but if you want to inject your day with a bit more of the wet stuff, Jenna A. Bell, Ph.D., R.D., has these tips for doing so:

1. Bring back the water-cooler conversation. "Refill your water glass throughout the day and take the opportunity to say hello to coworkers and do a little chit-chat. Don't get yourself behind on work, of course, or earn the moniker Miss Distracto, but creating a friendlier work atmosphere is good for production and morale. Also, it will benefit your health to get out of your seated position throughout the day."

2. Enhance it. "Try a calorie-free water enhancer. My go-to is Stur--I love the variety of fruit options and I can adjust the sweetness level myself. It's perfect for consumers looking for a "natural option" since it's sweetened with Stevia and its flavor and color come from vegetable juice."

3. Multitask. "Couple a drinking glass of water with something you normally do. For example, sip water while you're putting on your makeup, grab a glass while you tuck the kids in for bed, drink from a water bottle while you sit in traffic, or drink your way through a company meeting."

4. Walk with water. "Bottle in hand--walk for exercise, walk around the mall, walk to a meeting, wherever, whenever."

5. Be committed. "Simply commit to drinking a certain amount of water a day. Tell yourself that you'll finish X bottles of water a day or X number of glasses. And then just do it."

Is getting enough water something you think about? How do you get the job done?
