1. Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin seeds are one of nature's top hair-building foods and are an excellent source of zinc and vitamin A, which help strengthen your hair.

They also contain B vitamins, which include biotin, an essential nutrient for strengthening hair, helping to prevent thin and brittle hair, and increasing growth.

Try throwing them into your salads to work them into your diet!

2. Carrots
These veggies have the highest amount of beta-carotene, the precursor for vitamin A, among the common vegetables. Vitamin A is necessary for a shiny, well-moisturized head of hair, as well as promoting a healthy scalp, which is essential for healthy hair growth.

Snack on raw carrots with dips, or even simple salsa, for hair-building fuel.

3. Radishes
Radishes are spicy, savory veggies that you can easily work into your diet by throwing them into salads and snacking on them raw.

They promote healthy hair because they're high in vitamin C, as well as silicon and sulfur. Together, these elements help build stronger strands.

4. Nutritional Yeast
This is the deactivated form of yeast grown on a mixture of molasses and cane sugar. Nutritional yeast is gluten-free and contains the perfect combination of some of your hair's most important fuels: amino acids (protein) and B vitamins. It's also a complete protein with eighteen amino acids that will help fortify the protein in the hair shaft.

Three tablespoons supplies nine grams of complete protein, so adding it to recipes is an easy way to increase protein content, as well as hair-building nutrients.

5. Cucumbers
Cucumbers are loaded with silicon, which leads to strong, healthy, and shiny hair. Silicon also has incredible beautifying properties, including making your hair thick and shiny.

So, chop some up and toss them into your next salad.

6. Strawberries
This fruit is a great snack because it contains fiber, tons of vitamin C, biotin, which is essential for healthy hair growth, and folic acid. Strawberries also contain high levels of skin-rejuvenating antioxidants as well.

7. Shiitake Mushrooms
This type of mushroom is high in B vitamins and can easily be incorporated into your everyday salad or stir-fry dishes.

There are several B-complex vitamins, but the ones these mushrooms contain help you with anti-aging thanks to niacin, which helps your skin retain moisture, and biotin, which helps keep your hair and nails healthy and strong.
