Afternoon Snack: A Yummy "Shot" of Probiotics

Hey everyone! How are things? I'm a big fan of yogurt and kefir (a yogurt-style drink that is sooo good--will do a post on that soon), and love that they provide probiotics--the good for you bacteria that supports your immune system (and we can all stand a little more of that now with cold and flu season upon us). But, as I recently learned, you can get your probiotics in another tasty, and dairy-free, way. Here's your snack for today...

I recently tried these little probiotic "shots" made by a company called Good Belly. Basically, it's a probiotic fruit drink, spiked with a multivitamin. I loved the "Strawberry Rosehips" flavor--kind of sweet, kind of tart with some herbal notes in there (sorry, I'm starting to sound like a wine snob, and I'm not even talking about wine).

So if you hate swallowing a vitamin and want to get more probiotics into your diet (and maybe aren't a fan of dairy as well), this could be a cool product to try. Just go easy on these drinks. They're not for doubling up on. Health experts warn that overdoing it on vitamins is a big no-no. (However, it is possible you're not getting enough of this elusive vitamin.)

Have you tried these Good Belly shots? What did you think? If not, what's your favorite way to eat/drink your probiotics?
