Have you guys ever had Cosi before? You know, the place with that delicious, warm multigrain (or plain) flatbread that comes with like, everything? Cosi, which has more than 100 restaurants in 16 states and the District of Columbia, sticks by -- and stays true -- to their brand motto of "Life should be delicious." Try pairing up some of their soups, salads and sandwiches for a balanced meal full of bursting flavors. If you aren't completely satisfied with the menu choices, they'll customize your very own sammy or salad for you.


Plus, take advantage of their Lighter Side menu to cut back on calories but still feel satisfied. With vegetarian, gluten-free and lower-calorie options, Cosi is sure to please almost anyone's palate. These are my favorite picks, but remember, with their customization options, meal possibilities are practically endless!

T.B.M. Sandwich:
Tomatoes, basil, and fresh mozzarella are layered on their signature flatbread and drizzled with fat-free Cosi vinaigrette. For 546 calories, you have a delicious sandwich packed full of vitamin A, calcium, vitamin C and iron. Add all-natural grilled chicken for extra protein and only 50 extra calories. Remember to choose the multigrain flatbread (over the plain, you'll get complex, whole-grain carbs in!) and carrots as a crunchy, easy side dish.

Hummus and Veggies Sandwich: This vegetarian option will entice almost any meat eater, as well. Here, creamy hummus is topped with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and basil. Serviced with a side of baby carrots, this meal clocks in at 417 calories, 17g of protein and 7g of fiber to keep you fuller longer.

Turkey Light Sandwich: The spicy honey mustard adds a kick to the roasted turkey and shredded romaine piled onto Cosi's signature flatbread. At 419 calories, this sandwich is lower than fat than most other sandwiches and packed full of Vitamin A and iron.

Lighter Side Signature Salad: Mixed greens are tossed with red grapes, pears, pistachios, dried cranberries, Gorgonzola, and reduced-fat sherry shallot vinaigrette.
