Eat like a Celeb: Katy Perry Shares Her Slimming Food Picks

Katy Perry hasn't exactly had the best year in the romance department, but she's making sure what's on her plate is stellar. Here, she shares her fave healthy, slimming foods...

Katy Perry's healthy-eating routine? It boils down to this, which she recently shared with FitPerez: "When I was on the road, I liked to have a light soup, a piece of grilled chicken and some quinoa with grilled asparagus for dinner. I always need my daily vitamins and I loved fresh-pressed juices and coconut water. I also love snacks, but pick healthier options like veggies and hummus, tangerines or Popchips." (Yes, she's the spokesperson for Popchips, but I concur-they're tasty and a good, light snack pick, though I'd rather see ya'll eating more veggies than processed foods-just sayin!)

"Eating healthy is so important because I can't afford to get sick. When I was on the road, it was very important to eat a balanced meal and to make sure my energy was up for every two-hour show."

I'm glad to see soup on Katy's list here, as I think so many women forget that soup can be a seriously slimming food. Broth-based soups are great because (when they're served hot) you just sip them slowly. They're loaded with flavor and can be surprisingly filling. My favorite is miso soup with a bit of cubed tofu and tons of greens like kale and spinach steamed right on top in the microwave (I also add sliced onions!).
