Dr. Frank Lipman, an integrative and functional medicine physician and founder of Eleven Eleven Wellness in NYC says the biggest complaint by his patients is an achy, tense body. The small, smooth shape of a tennis ball is the ultimate DIY muscle massager. "It's a great way to release tension in your shoulders and feet that can be done anytime, anywhere," he says.

1. Lie on your back, knees bent and feet hip-width apart.
2. Place two tennis balls at the top of your shoulder blades, side-by-side.
3. Slowly lower head and shoulders down. Put a pillow behind your head if your neck is uncomfortable.
4. Lift your arms to the ceiling, then move them slowly toward knees and then toward the wall behind you.
5. Repeat until tension has been kneaded away! less
