All you recent college grads now set to go looking for your first big job in the so-called real world -- this one's for you! (It's also for anyone else out there in search of payment for their passion.)

I'll start by offering a reminder that it only takes two seconds for someone in a hiring position to form a first impression of you. And of course, while we all know that first impressions ideally shouldn't be based on looks alone, well, unfortunately that's not our reality. Any advantage you can bring to the employment party, all the better.

And so, enter Feng Shui! Here are a few sartorial tips that will allow you to get a leg up on the competition -- and also get that all-important proverbial foot in the door!

First things first: Organize your entire closet! Remove any clothing that needs addressing or mending, as well as items that no longer fit or appeal to you. Give them all away and create positive karma for everyone.

Go through all the clothes you plan to keep and do an inventory. Doing so will help you take note of what you need to create five good interview outfits. Do you have more tops than bottoms? More ties than belts, or shoes than skirts? You get the idea.

While you're in inventory mode, determine which accessories you'll need to top off those five interview outfits. Just keep in mind that less is more when interviewing -- after all, you don't want your potential employer distracted by your chandelier-like dangling earrings or giant swag watch.

Finally, you can easily rejuvenate your wardrobe with a few key pieces that will work interchangeably with clothes you already have.

Now, since we're in the month of June and entering another summer, Feng Shui suggests that the element that will garner you the most recognition is Fire! So, don't be shy about wearing reds (which will always get you remembered), oranges and hot pinks, as well as watermelon, corals or geraniums. Hot pink and orange are both trending this summer season, as is color blocking, so get creative without going overboard (at least not until your first paycheck).

Good luck, graduate -- the world is your oyster. Now go share these pearls of Feng Shui fashion wisdom!

What better month than June to celebrate one of summer's most magically delicious fruits -- the strawberry!

In ancient legends, the strawberry was almost always associated with attracting true, lasting love. In fact, wild strawberries have even been dubbed the "heart root" by the Chippewa, who also consider this fruit a symbol of both perfection and foresight. This symbolism likely stems from the fact that the strawberry falls under the auspices of Venus, astrology's own planet of love. Or, it could simply be that the Roman custom of planting strawberries to manifest a mate has stood the test of time.

Either way, the whole chocolate-dipped-strawberries-and-champagne thing has been known to induce other delights besides culinary ones. So why not go all the way and make a seasonal strawberry shortcake? After all, whipped cream can serve multiple purposes in the bedroom!

SEXY STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE
Serves 12

Ingredients:
1/3 cup of corn oil
2/3 cup of whole milk
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1 cup of whole wheat pastry flour
1 tablespoon of sugar
2 teaspoons of double-acting baking powder
Crushed, finely minced fresh mint leaves, to taste
2 quarts of whole fresh strawberries
One cup of whipped cream for garnish

1. Combine corn oil and whole milk in a measuring cup. Chill in the freezer for 30 minutes.

2. In a medium bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Remove oil-milk mixture from the freezer and stir hard. Then, immediately stir it into flour mixture until all ingredients are moist and can form a ball. Divide evenly into a dozen muffin tins pre-greased with vegetable spray.

3. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes and/or until lightly browned.

4. Split the shortcakes in half, then layer with slightly sugared strawberries and cream. Garnish with more strawberries, as well as cream and mint. Serve and enjoy.
