Anxiety is a complicated disorder; it originates from over expectation of something while being afraid of failing in achieving the expected. People with anxiety display not only mental illnesses like irritation and depression, but also physical illnesses such as insomnia ad dyssomnia. Short-term anxiety does not affect the person much, but long-term effects can decrease one's body weight and make the person venerable to other diseases.

Anxiety can be classified into voluntary and involuntary. The former is when the person knows why he is anxious while the latter is when the person does not know what is making him or her anxious. Both voluntary and involuntary anxiety can lead to serious problems if not treated in time. Treatment should involve mainly self meditation, although medication can be applied. Here are some ways for some people to naturally treat anxiety:

  1. Try to increase confidence. Confidence is the unavoidable requirement one must obtain in order to defeat anxiety. Some unconfident people have little hope in themselves to achieve what they want, augmenting their chances of failing. This, then, increases their anxiety even more after failing a task and disappoint themselves. Therefore, people with anxiety should lift their confidence little by little. Through the course of obtaining confidence, they will eventually get rid of anxiety.

  2. Relaxation is also the key. Instead of panicking all the time, try to calm down and think logically. One can do this by stopping whatever he or she is doing at a horrible situation. Think about what the worst possible outcomes are, and then think logically about how to prepare for the worst. This will set the person up for the worst situations and he or she will not feel as shameful even when things are going very bad.

  3. Self check up is needed once in a while to know why one is anxious. Knowing what exactly is causing the person to be anxious can effectively help him or her to escape from anxiety. If the person understands him- or herself, then the worries and fear inside can be unleashed. He or she must do self check ups regularly to seek what is the source of anxiety at the time. Then the person can talk it out.

  4. Self-stimulation can be helpful too. Some people with anxiety often excessively worry about everything that is happening. To distract them from these worries, stimulation should indeed be applied. Self-stimulation includes intensively reading a book, having an intense workout plan, intensely working, etc. by devoting oneself to rigorous activities, the person will forget about the worries of life, thus being less anxious.

  5. Hypnotization should also be considered by the ones with sleeping disorders caused by anxiety. Some tricks with no side-effects include counting numbers while trying to sleep, and holding a book above the face while reading it could work.

Hopefully by following these natural healing tips, anxiety can be lessened or even cured.
