Found: A Delicious Way to Make Any Fruit Taste Like a Decadent Dessert

By Sarah Jio, Glamour magazine

Sure, you can munch on a banana or an apple or a peach, but gals, if you're really craving apple pie, or banana cream pie, or cupcake with frosting, I have the perfect snack idea for you. I'm all for concocting tasty, but healthy, tricks in my kitchen, and over the weekend I came up with this:

Yeah, that can of sweetened condensed milk in the back of your pantry is both sort of un-sexy and hardly qualifies as health food, but let's give it a makeover, shall we?

I recently cracked open a can of Trader Joe's Organic Sweetened Condensed Milk for a dessert recipe I was trying out, then I got the bright idea to drizzle a little on fruit. Was it good? Oh yes it was!

I chopped up some pears, sprinkled them with cinnamon (a healthy, healthy spice), then drizzled a scant tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk over the top. I'm telling you, this was to-die for. The ensemble also works with bananas (tastes like banana cream pie), apples, and any other fruit you have lying around.

Best part: It's not as decadent a move as you think. A drizzle will only set you back 60 calories and about 1 gram of fat--not bad for a treat!

So ladies, would you try this?
