Kate Middleton Pokes Fun at Prince William's Bald Patch

Though there's still more than a week left of the royal family's tour of New Zealand and Australia, we may have already witnessed their best moment yet. While the pair was attending the Sydney Royal Easter Show, the Duchess put up her, well, dukes and took a jab at her husband’s thinning head of hair.

One wool exhibitor at the event, farmer Lyn Crejan, showed the couple a tuft of alpaca wool that happened to be a similar color to William’s hair. "The Prince was interested in the alpaca and as I showed it to them the princess said he should put it on his head,” the 67-year-old from Glenn Innes in New South Wales told reporters, according to The Mirror. “She said 'you need it more than me' and pointed to his head and he laughed."

Perhaps her playful quip was revenge for the Duke’s comment the other day about her bright yellow Roksanda Illincic dress. During a visit to the Sydney Harbor, Kate told someone in the crowd, “William said I look like a banana,” the Daily Mail reports.

But don’t feel too bad for William (he is a prince after all) as he’s publicly poked fun at his own bald patch in the past himself. Following their son’s birth last July, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge left the Lindo Wing at London's St. Mary's Hospital to greet reporters and well wishers and William joked that George, at only a few hours old, already had more hair than him.

From official playdates with Prince George and meetings with Maori tribesmens to yacht races and cricket matches, the royal family's jam-packed trip has been full of surprises — so hopefully there's still plenty of time left for some more amazing exchanges.
