Newly slimmed-down Kelly Rowland is dishing on her simple weight loss plan that involved ditching just one thing ...

When Kelly Rowland arrived at the party for celebrity makeup artist Scott Barnes's new book, About Face this week, she looked svelte in her black sequined Herve Leger gown.

Her healthy 10-pound weight loss, she says, was due to one thing: cutting added sugar out of her diet.

"I'm telling you, I'm not eating sugar," she said. "I didn't even try to lose weight," Rowland said at the party. "I read this book, called You Are What You Eat. [The author, Gillian McKeith,] is talking about sugar, she's talking about meat, she's talking about cheese. I did some of those things for a month, but for the most part, it is just sugar that is gone from my diet."

We've talked about the benefits of reducing sugar in our diets before here on Vitamin G, and I think it's an interesting reminder that whether it's sugar or anything else, sometimes a small change can make a big impact.

Have you noticed a correlation between eating less sugar and weight loss?
