While we'd never recommend a juice fast -- one can wreak serious havoc on your bod -- we're all for adding in a veggie-heavy green juice for a serious nutritional boost during our day. Juice Generation, one of the trendiest juice and raw food spots in New York City (and one of the originals, having first opened in 1999), has just released a cookbook penned by Eric Helms. Featuring juicing tips, ingredient explanations and recipes galore, this is not a book to be missed if you're a fan of getting in your daily greens.

With celeb fans including Kristen Bell, Blake Lively and Hillary Swank, it's no wonder A-listers and the starstruck alike flock to one of Juice Generation's 12 (and counting!) outposts. We were able to snag a recipe from Bell, who combines leafy greens with smooth avocado for a delectable concoction.

"I have a big garden and throw in whatever is in season. I love kale, carrot, spinach, and apple, and I even get creative throwing in flax oil, aloe juice, and lemons from the tree in my yard.
