Legislators in Ohio are ready to but the smackdown on on-campus smoking. According to reports, a ban on cigarettes and tobacco products at public universities in the state is close to being pushed through.

While many private schools have already moved to smoke-free campuses, this proposed ban is seen as a big move in the right direction for the health of college students and it's being praised by health experts across the country. (Although, the news on how many college women are smoking hookah is still sort of alarming!)

I wish something like this would have been in place when I was a co-ed! I remember walking across campus and breathing in so much smoke from other students on the way to class. Ugh.
