Workouts to Steal from Oscar Nominees

Jennifer Lawrence: She famously had just six weeks to get into top shape for her role as Katniss, doing drill after drill that included marching, side steps, and grapevines), all to improve her agility and athleticism. These days, she's reportedly attending Pilates classes (and she's often spotted dashing around Los Angeles!).

Jessica Chastain: She put on 15 pounds for her role in The Help--all by nuking soy ice cream in the microwave and drinking it down--but this vegan is also a yoga devotee (who swears by 5:30 A.M. workouts).

Naomi Watts: Naomi's trainer, Simone De La Rue (uh, best Hollywood trainer name ever?), says that Naomi "loves working out" and does so one hour a day, five days a week. De La Rue has Naomi use each hour to do cardio, strength training, and toning, but mixes it up with things like Pilates, dance, barre, yoga, trampoline, and jump rope.

Amy Adams: After she had a baby girl in 2010, Amy got fit with...exotic dancing! Well, she turned to the S Factor method, which is a workout based on stripping and pole-dancing routines, saying: "Some mom friends said it's a good way to lose the baby weight.... And I'll do anything to get off of that treadmill."

Anne Hathaway: She had to seriously crash diet for Les Mis (she subsisted on nothing but oatmeal paste squares for weeks--eek!) but went happily back to her largely vegetarian diet. Getting in shape for Catwoman required five days of stunt training five days a week, an hour and a half a day of dancing, plus weightlifting, martial arts, and yoga. Now, she says she's a Bikram yoga devotee.
