However, the two were quick to point out that there’s no single item that every kid should have. “Really what we encourage parents and gift givers to do is to learn more about the kid,†Rice says. “What are their passions? What do they enjoy doing? And use that as a guideline to find a product that’s perfect for that kid instead of listening to what everyone else is saying is hot. Because it may not be hot for that kid."
