10 Ways to Get Over a Breakup Now

So things didn't work out between you and your boo. If it ended badly, we don't blame you for wanting to be una loca and slash his tires...but don't. We have better solutions than sending your tios or hermanos to kick his butt. These will help you feel better and save the drama.

1. Get a Makeover

Dye your hair or get a new cut. Buy a new outfit or those kickass shoes you've been eyeing for weeks. Focusing on you and making yourself feel good will build confidence and help you not sweat the small stuff.

2. Go on a Date with Your Girls

Your amigas are always there, but men come and go, as we always say. Set up a spa date or go out for drinks. Studies have shown women get over breakups faster than men because we have better support systems-aka our girls.

3. Spill it…ALL

Talking is the best therapy. Vent to your friends, mami, or whoever you trust. Getting it all out is a huge stress reliever, and forget paying for a therapist!

4. Go For the Rebound

But we're not saying to jump into a new relationship too fast. (Yeah, we know J.Lo and a bunch of other celebs did it and thankfully it's working for them!) Casually hanging out with a guy friend or going on a blind date may help you realize there are plenty of fish in the sea. So there's no need to stress over the last guy.

5. Take a Vacation

If you've got the time and money, go for it! Find a friend or more who can go with you, and party it up in South Beach or any place with sandy playas and piña coladas!

6. Exercise

Not only will you be working on scoring that hot bod but exercise is also a proven stress buster. Take a relaxing yoga class, go for a run, or hit the gym. Nothing pisses a guy off more than seeing how much hotter we are post-breakup.

7. Go Dancing

We're not talking about just going out for drinks-hit the dance floor. Shake your hips to some salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, or samba. The upbeat Latin music will make you feel energized and put you in a good mood.

8. Make a Break-Up Playlist

Musicians are famous for making that badass breakup song we love to jam out to. Some tracks we love are "La Camisa Negra" by Juanes, "Don't Bother" by Shakira, "No Me Queda Mas" by Selena, "Ain't it Funny" by J.Lo, and "Beautiful Liar" by Shakira and Beyonce.

9. Throw Away the Memories

Time to take that old teddy bear and V-Day card and throw it in the basura! You don't want to keep anything that's going to remind you of him. And don't forget to delete his number-you don't want to end up sending any drunk texts!

10. Write a List of the Cons

Last but not least, write a list of reasons why you are better off without him, but don't get carried away. The point is to help you feel better, not to make you so angry that when you think about it you want to go after him.
