    Croquetas de yuca

    The best thing about croquetas, a staple food of several Latin countries, is that they can be made out of almost anything.

    Last week I had some boiled yucca leftovers from a family barbeque. I found table cream and some shredded mozzarella cheese in the fridge, so I knew I was golden.

    I mashed the yucca, mixed it with the cheese and cream, and came up with the most-delicious pan-fried yucca croquettes. I could've had a whole new party and used them as appetizers!

    The average mascara costs about $10, but some of the high-end alternatives can go upward of $70. But that is relatively cheap compared to a face moisturizer that goes for $1,900!

    Latin deviled eggs with cilantro and jalapeno

    Even if deviled eggs are your favorite dish, having to peel so many hard-boiled eggs perfectly might make preparing deviled eggs your least-favorite cooking task.

    My trick is to remove the eggs from the fridge and leave them out at room temperature before placing them in boiling water. To avoid cracking the shells, lower them into the pot with a spoon.

    For an important gathering recently, I spiced up a traditional recipe that I loved: I used table cream, mustard, mayo and cilantro to the egg mix and topped the yellow filling with minced jalapeno, for a little kick. Try my new recipe below:
