VIDEO: Get the Look of Selena Gomez

By Charleen Gonzalez for Shine Latina

In this tutorial I am going to recreate a red carpet look from the gorgeous Selena Gomez. I love how she's wearing a classic smoky eye with a bright pink lip. In a few simple steps, I'll show you how to achieve this fabulous look.

The brushes I'm going to use are from Sigma's Make Me Blush Essential set. The eyeshadow palette I'm using is LORAC's new Pro Palette.

Step 1

In order to replicate this red carpet look, you'll need a flawless looking face. I'm going to start by priming my face with Amazing Cosmetics Anti Aging Face primer, which will hydrate your skin and prolong the wear and appearance of your foundation. I'm using Amazing Cosmetics Velvet Mineral Liquid Custom Finish Foundation with a foundation brush. Use the brush to apply the makeup base in an outward motion.

Step 2

To finish off the face, apply a concealer like Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer To-Go on the under eye area and anywhere you have a blemish. Set your foundation with Amazing Cosmetics Velvet Mineral Pressed Powder using a fluffy powder brush on the T-Zone area.

Step 3

Define your brow line by using a brow powder like Anastasia's Brow Powder Duo and an angled liner brush to fill the gaps in your eyebrows. Set the brows in place with Anastasia's Tinted Brow Gel.

Step 4

Apply NYX HD eyeshadow primer on your eyelids to prevent your shadow form creasing or fading throughout the day. Then, taking a cream-colored eyeshadow and a fluffy brush, apply the color under your brows as a base color.

Step 5

Apply a shimmery nude color onto your inner corner/tear duct area with a pencil brush. This will open up

your eyes. Then, take a shimmery taupe color with a flat shader brush and apply it onto the rest of your eye lids but not past the crease.

Step 6

Take a shimmery gunmetal color shadow, and apply it on the crease and the outer "V" area with a pencil brush. Take an angled shading brush and a little light brown eyeshadow, and blend out the crease so it fades seamlessly away.

Step 7

Apply your liquid or pencil eyeliner on the top lash line. I used Make Up For Ever's Aqua Liner in 13. Then, taking a black and/or dark brown eyeshadow, smudge the shadows with an angled eyeliner brush under the lower lash line to intensify the smoky eye. Finish off with false eyelashes, and apply Clinique's Bottom Lash Mascara to define your bottom lashes.

Step 8

To complete the look, I used Vincent Longo's Cushion Lips to prep my lips for lipstick application. Then, I took Mark's Glowdacious Illuminating Powder to highlight my cheekbones. For blush, I used Vincent Longo's Dew Drop Radiant Blush in Misty Blossom on the apples of my cheeks with an angled blush brush for a pretty pink shimmer. With NYX's Matte Bronzer in Light, I lightly contoured my face with a large powder brush.

Step 9

For the lips, I used NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Fuchsia to line and fill in my lips. Then, I layered Lime Crime's Lip Stick in Countessa Fluorescent over the pencil. I also used Secret Agent Beauty's Secret Lip Affair on the center of the lips to add shine.
