Salma Hayek recently strutted her stuff down the red carpet for the British Fashion Awards, where she played up her natural curves in a fringed Stella McCartney gown and wowed with her effortless makeup. Hayek opted to go very subtle on the eyes and cheeks, while sporting a bright, coral-pink lip. A great pop of color to her black dress; it's the perfect look for holiday daytime fiestas or when you want a clean, yet sophisticated style. Besides, this look is really easy to replicate: just grab your bight pink lipstick, some neutral shadows, and you're ready!

Flawless base
Start off by applying a face primer; I used bareMinerals Prime Time™ Foundation Primer. Then, apply a matte foundation like bareMinerals SPF 15 Matte Foundation. It looks incredibly natural and leaves the skin looking flawless. Use a dense powder brush to buff in the powder like bareMinerals Precision Face Brush. If you need a little extra brightness under the eyes, I suggest using a brightening concealer like bareMinerals Stroke of Light™ Eye Brightener and blending it in with an Eco Tools Bamboo Deluxe Concealer Brush. Salma has very natural brows, so I decided to simply brush them into place with Tweezerman Browmouse.

Simply elegant eyes

Apply an eyeshadow primer in order to keep your shadows from creasing. I like BUXOM
Stick Around™ Eye Primer. Then, select a neutral eyeshadow palette like Mark'sDrama Case Eye Shadow and Liner Palette. Then, take an Eco Tools Bamboo Eye Shading Brush, and apply a shimmering cream shadow to the entire eye lid. To give the eye a little more depth, I apply the palette's brown shade to the crease area, and blended it out. For a liner, I used the black powder liner in the palette and lined my upper lash with a wet Real Technique's Fine Liner Brush. To get the most volume from your lashes, curl them first with Tweezerman's Procurl Lash Curler, and then apply your favorite mascara. I like to use BUXOM Lash Mascara.

Finishing touches

Choose a peachy pink blush like BUXOM'S
True Hue™ Blush in Breathless, and apply it with an Eco Tools Blush Brush. For a little highlight to the face, I used Mark Glowdacious Illuminating Powder and a Real Techniques Setting Brush, placing where I wanted a shimmering glow. For the lips, I took OCC Lip Tar in Trollop, a bright pink coral, and applied with a lip brush . For a little extra shine on top, I used Mark In a Whirl Marbleized Lip Gloss in Coral Cream.
