Traditional curling irons with clips can leave ugly kinks in your hair. Well, it's time to throw away your old iron, and try the new clip-less version that curls your hair in seconds and leaves it looking sultry. After trying Sultra's The Bombshell Cone Rod Curling Iron, I'm never going back to a clip-style curling wand. With this new product, you can create many different looks- from tight curls to loose waves. The nicest thing about The Bombshell is that it has little grips on the barrel which grab your hair making it easier to curl. The bonus? A special glove to avoid any burns while curling your locks.

How to curl your hair with a clip-less iron

Step 1:
Divide your hair into at least three sections- top, middle and bottom layer, and clip in place. Depending on the thickness of your hair, you might need to divide it into fewer or more sections.

Watch my step-by-step tutorial on how to use this great, new clip-less curling iron:

Step 2:
Place the glove included with The Bombshell on your hand, and hold the barrel with the other. Select a small section of hair, no more than an inch, and wrap it around the curling wand. You can place the wand on top or under the hair; you decide which way you want the curl to go.

Step 3:
After a few seconds, gather the hair at the base of the wand, and slide it out from the tip of the wand. The Bombshell curls the hair in a matter of seconds, so don't leave your hair wrapped around the iron for too long. If your hair is hot to the touch, then you know it's time to take it off the iron.

Step 4:
If you want a tighter curl, I suggest pinning each curled piece of hair with a bobby pin and letting the curls set for 30 minutes. If you want softer curls or waves, you can either brush out the curls with a wide-comb or simply run your fingers through your hair. Finish by using some hairspray to set the curls. I use Garnier Fructise Style Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Hairspray.
