Trendy nail colors
Let me start off with my favorite nail polishes this month: Zoya and their Beach and Surf collection. I'm wearing Zoya's Shelby, and it is the perfect cherry blossom pink for the summer. I also love wearing orange nail polish for the summer like Zoya's Arizona (a bright citrus orange with a cream finish) and Myrta (a medium orange coral with a metallic shimmer).
Light, sun-proof foundation
Most women like wearing tinted moisturizers during the summer months because of their lightweight formulas and easy application. Try Laura Mercier's Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 which has light to medium coverage and looks as flawless as foundation. On days where I want my natural skin to shine through, but still need a bit of coverage, I use BECCA's Luminous Skin Colour Ultra Sheer Foundation with SPF 25. The sheer finish adds a subtle glow to the skin, all the while protecting it with SPF 25. Most dermatologists agree that it isn't a good idea to wear makeup to the beach. However, I found a stick foundation that is safe to use and offers UVA/UVB protection when taking in the sun. Shiseido's Sun Protection Stick Foundation has a sheer natural coverage and is surely to become your new hot weather favorite!

A shimmery glow
During the summer you are bound to show off more skin. Using a shimmering body cream like Jouer's Lumizing Body Glow can really make your skin sparkle, and give it a healthy glow. Another easy product to use during the season is cream blush. I like applying BECCA's Crème Blush with my fingers on the apples of my cheeks. I don't use a whole lot of lipstick when it's hot outside, so I opt for sheer glosses like Benefit's Ultra Plush Lip Gloss. They come in a variety of finishes.
Eyeshadow that stays
I've really loved using cream eye shadows instead of powders this month. Buxom's line of Stay There Eye Shadow has one of the best cream formulas I've found. It's water and crease resistant, and it has a variety of colors to choose from. I find applying the cream with my fingers provides the best coverage.
I have oily-to-combination skin, so I get super shiny during the summer. I like to carry around oil blotting sheets in my purse to touch up during the day. My favorite is Clean and Clear's Oil Absorbing Sheets.
Hot lips and cool powder
Mark's Gloss Gorgeous Stay On Lip Stain provides a glossy wash of color that stays on for hours, and it isn't too sticky; the click pen format is also really easy to use. When I want to wear vibrant looking lips, I use Bite Beauty's High Pigment Matte Pencil. The pencil works as an all-in-one lip liner and lip stick. Besides its high pigment pay off, it also has good-for-you ingredients like jojoba and shea butter.
Finishing up this month's list is Jouer's Hydrating Powder Foundation with SPF 39. This powder not only provides serious sun protection, it also hydrates while leaving a matte and natural finish.
