4 Different Movies to Watch with Your Partner

Posted by Demetri Raftopoulos for BounceBack.com

Movies always make me really think. I escape into my own reality, creating a life away from my own. I laugh cheerfully during comedies and sit at the edge of my seat during a car chase in an action movie. I allow myself to be captivated in an overwhelmingly powerful drama while I admittedly keep my hands to my face and watch through the cracks of my fingers during a horror film.

Movies have always had a big effect on me and I have always been inclined to share that effect with anyone I care about. Movies have this strange ability to motivate us into feeling certain ways, altering our moods, changing our outlook on life itself.

Here is a look at several movies that will affect you and your partner in very different ways.

To Straight Up Make You Laugh

Wedding Crashers

Who has actually crashed a wedding? We've all talked about it. We've all imagined what it would be like walking into a wedding, complete stranger, and not only fitting in like family but being the heart and soul of the party. But no one has ever really done it. Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson give you an inside look on what it actually would be like to continuously crash weddings, enjoying all the food, drinks, and women in the process.

If you need to lighten up the mood, pop this movie in, put your arm around your partner and get ready to laugh your butt off. Wedding Crashers is a great mix of humor and fun with an unexpected battle to find love, enjoyable for any couple. Don't you love laughing with your partner? Doesn't it always make things easier? Give Wddineg Crashers a shot.

Honorable Mentions: Old School, Rush Hour 2, Bad Boys 2, My Cousin Vinny

To Inspire You

Into The Wild

Into The Wild is a true story, recounting a journey of one man that will not only inspire you but push you to go out and live life to the fullest. Emile Hirsch plays Christopher McCandless, a college graduate looking to make more of his life, inclined to ignore his material possessions and the privileges given to him by his family. Motivated by his adventurous spirit, Christopher leaves everything behind and goes on a cross-country journey into the wild.

After I watched this movie with my girlfriend at the time, both of us were ready to try new things, make the best of what we had, and go out into the world to achieve more. This is definitely a great movie to enjoy with your significant other, building confidence, providing an unforgettable, moving experience.

Other notable movies that will inspire you: Cinderella Man, Warrior, Remember The Titans

To Spice Things Up

Project X

Project X will make you and your partner immediately get up off the couch after watching and go party. Sometimes a relationship needs to be spiced up. This movie will bring you back to your youth; back to the days of throwing parties when your parents were away and the days of promiscuity, mischief, and underage drinking. And even with the inspiration to let loose and party, Project X will most definitely teach you when it is time to hang up your party shoes leading to your focus back to the many other important areas of a relationship.

Thomas, Costa, and JB, outcasts at their high school, throw a "small get together" that turns into an unforgettable banger, leaving an everlasting mark on anyone in attendance. Grab your partner and see for yourself. Project X will not only amp you up but will give you and your partner an enjoyable, nostalgic experience.

Other movies that will jack you up: Never Back Down, Beerfest

To Give You a Good Cry

The Notebook

I don't care how obvious and cliché this one is. I'm sure you aren't surprised by this choice but The Notebook has definitely even made the toughest of the tough and the strongest of the strong shed a tear. This adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel illustrates true love at its best. This movie focuses on two people of opposite class in society, fighting through obstacle after obstacle in an attempt to be together and conquer the love that binds them together.

Every couple should watch The Notebook together. It may sound a little cheesy but if you can appreciate this movie, you can appreciate the person next to you during the movie. How much can your love withstand? It definitely makes you think about the lengths you would go for that special someone.

Other movies that will shed some tears: Armageddon, Bridges of Madison County, Toy Story 3

It may not be your first choice when it comes to spending time with your partner, but watching movies is absolutely an underrated method of bonding, connecting, and getting closer.
