4 Guys Reveal What Forms of PDA They Love....and Hate

By Melissa Melms,Glamour magazine

Here's the worst thing I ever did to a someone I was dating: Shortly after college my girlfriend was visiting me at home, and were waiting for a bus when she leaned in and began kissing my neck, holding my arm and playing with my hair. After she did it a few times I became embarrassed or annoyed and asked her, "Can you not?" The look of hurt and dejection she gave me still breaks my heart to this day. I felt so mean (months later, after I got dumped, I would remember these nuzzles like they were my time in Paradise).

What had she been doing that was so wrong? I was young and stupid then, but guys can be weird about PDA at any age. I asked 4 of my friends what kinds of PDA they like and loathe.

"It bugs we when I'm sitting with in girl in class, or in a tutorial, and she starts being touchy feely there. It's not like I work in a law firm or something, but it makes me uncomfortable. I'm trying to concentrate, but I'm also worried a professor might see. I take my schoolwork seriously. " -Michael, 21, student

"I honestly don't give a sh*t. If it feels good, she's welcome to do it while I'm behind the bar [where he works], while we're in a cab, when I'm with my band. If I like someone, and they like me, they should touch me whenever they feel like it." -Terrence, 25, bartender/guitarist

"Kissing is fine. Yeah, with tongue. Handholding is great. I don't want my lap climbed on in public, or any hands in the crotch area." -Jonathan, 30, advertising exec

"This is one of those things that just goes out the window long before you're married, never mind once you're married. PDA actually gets a lot more intricate the longer a relationship goes. Like, if I choose the right kind of ice cream (the "right" kind being the flavor that she would most like to take bites of), I get this hand on my chest that finds it's way to the top of my bum, like she's congratulating a horse. When I do bad, like if I tell her nephew he should buy a sword, she holds my hand, but she holds it weird, like from the wrist." -Arjun, 30, insurance
