One great reason to be excited about getting older and hitting your thirties? It comes with a boost in confidence in the bedroom.

According to a study of 2,000 people between the ages of 18 and 60, it was determined that women are at their most sexually confident at age 31. By contrast, age 25 is when women are the most insecure.

Obviously those numbers are just averages, but there is definitely something to be said for gaining confidence as you grow older, in all areas, not just where sex is concerned. Maybe you're 23 and already feeling totally confident (awesome!), but here are five reasons you'll probably just feel better and better in bed as your twenties progress and turn into your thirties.

1. You've probably done it more. Duh. Practice makes perfect, you know.

2. You've probably done it with more people. After your first long-term relationship, you might have a lot of experience, but it's only with one partner, so you're still nervous about your next first time with a new guy. To be honest, you'll probably always be a little nervous with a new person, but after a few notches on your proverbial bedpost, you feel like you know the drill a lot better.

3. You've accepted your body. You might still have bad confidence days, but for the most part, you've been living with your thighs/stomach/arms/whatever your least favorite area is for years, and it hasn't been repulsing any guys who've seen you naked yet. You're not worried about looking good during the act anymore, which makes you a lot more confident and more likely to enjoy yourself.

4. You know what you like. And you're not afraid to ask for it. Such an empowering improvement over constantly wondering if you're doing it right.

5. You've had embarrassments and survived them. The more sex you have, the more you realize that things go wrong--weird noises, cramped muscles, etc.--and it's really not that big of a deal.

Are you more confident now than you used to be? What made the difference?
