Handcuffs can be hot, but even a few tamer moves will take your lust life to a whole new level. We asked experts for their best back-to-basics tips and had SELF readers vote on which they'd do. Turn out the lights! You're up for almost anything.

99% of you would ambush your guy with a passionate makeout session

Couples in long-term relationships spend less time kissing, says Laura Berman, Ph.D., host of Couples in Crisis on YouTube. In fact, nearly one in five married couples go without for up to a week at a time (so wrong!), a British Heart Foundation poll reveals. To get back that I-want-you-now feeling, have at it for at least 10 seconds daily. It feels great, and his kiss may transfer testosterone, which could lead to steamier sex.

86% of you would go for it even if you were not in the mood
We know, it sounds old-school, but hear us out: Research suggests that women may take time to feel mentally turned on, even if they're physically aroused. (Your body is saying "Yes!" but your brain says, "What's on TV?") Let your partner coax you and you could end up having hotter sex more often, says Scott Haltzman, M.D., coauthor of The Secrets of Happily Married Women.

69% would bring batteries to bed
People who use vibrators say they have a stronger libido and reach orgasm more easily, according to research in The Journal of Sexual Medicine. Um, we're sold. But if you're iffy about toys, start small. Go to Babeland.com for a huge selection of cute, women-oriented numbers (as opposed to the bigger, louder variety-though they have those, too!). You can also buy vibrating rings at the drugstore for a milder buzz. About 40 percent of men and women have used a vibrator with a partner, says Debby Herbenick, Ph.D., coauthor of Great in Bed, so something's working.

72% would play a racy game
One favorite of our pros is the yes/no/maybe game, essentially an inventive tactic to tell each other exactly what you're craving. To play, make a list of all the things you'd love to try and what you'd consider experimenting with. (You can also do a no column-or simply skip it and keep things upbeat.) Have your guy do the same. Discuss your lists, then begin making your way through all the yeses and into the maybes, recommends Sonia Borg, Ph.D., author of Marathon Sex. Win-win!

76% would ogle guy candy
Go ahead-check out other dudes. You're not being disloyal (as long as you refrain in front of your honey). On the contrary, appreciating the scenery keeps sex percolating in your brain, says Barbara Keesling, Ph.D., a human sexuality lecturer at California State University in Fullerton. Think of it as a form of mental foreplay. Eyeing the hottie who serves up your latte every morning brings on dirty daydreams, leading to wilder sex with your own man. So look, admire, fantasize-but hands off-and reap the rewards later at home.

95% would flex it
We're talking about Kegel exercises, which you do by contracting and relaxing the muscles you use to control urine flow. Strength training your privates may not sound appealing, but the payoff is worth it: You'll experience more powerful sexual sensations, says certified sex educator Lou Paget, author of The Great Lover Playbook. Aim for a total Kegel time of two minutes a day-do a set of one-second intervals, then slow down, holding for five counts and releasing. Worth every squeeze.
