It's a common question that many of us have been asked on a first date or by our candid great aunt at the annual family Christmas soiree: "How is a bright, beautiful girl like you still single?" At first, this seemingly innocent query appears to be a compliment, but behind the perplexed, pitying looks, it's apparent that Aunt Marge is truly wondering what exactly has perpetuated your single status.
