Alyson Hannigan is Planning Ten Year Anniversary Vow Renewal After Receiving a New Engagement Ring

How's this for upgrading the bling on your engagement ring? Alyson Hannigan posed with a brand new ring at the CW, CBS and Showtime 2013 summer party in Los Angeles on Monday.

The sparkler wasn't a standalone gift-it came after a surprise second proposal from Alexis Denisof, her husband of nearly 10 years! She gleefully Tweeted the happy news Sunday night.

The How I Met Your Mother and her actor husband are now planning to renew their vows in honor of their tenth wedding anniversary. She even lightheartedly suggested having ten wedding cakes at the celebration.

But the actual sweet part of a vow renewal is the chance to include children in the festivities, something not lost on Hannigan. The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer costars (they met while filming the show) are parents to daughters Satyana, 4, and Keeva, 14 months.


"Now we get to have our kids at this ceremony," she wrote on Twitter. "It'll be shorter. We'll get to the cake sooner! YAY renewal!!!"

We're just as excited as she is to hear the details of what is sure to be a spirited, warm party. And with the rash of second weddings and vow renewals sweeping Hollywood (Matt Damon, George Lucas, and Amar'e Stoudemire, to name a few), we're happy to see the love spread even further.
