Who says there's a Bachelor/Bachelorette curse? Former Bachelor Sean Lowe and his fiancée, Catherine Giudici, to whom he proposed on the show's March finale, are making good on their engagement-they've set a wedding date!

Nearly one year after Sean Lowe got down on one knee with an eye-popping Neil Lane engagement ring, the couple told PEOPLE that they will get married on Jan. 26, 2014 in a wedding ceremony to be broadcast live on ABC.

"It's really exciting," Lowe said. "Time has just flown by-I think January is going to sneak up on us pretty quickly!"

He added a sentiment he'd expressed on After the Final Rose, that, "I think it's only natural to have it on TV seeing as how our relationship started. This will be a cool opportunity to share the most special day of our lives with all the people who have been invested in us along the way."

The pair has made some other big decisions, as well. They will recite personalized vows next to twelve (!) bridesmaids, and plan to honeymoon someplace tropical. For the reception, the couple "want it to be a big party," Lowe said. "It's about family and friends celebrating our marriage. And that's really my only input. I'm letting Catherine make most of the decisions."

One thing still to be determined? Giudici's wedding dress. "I haven't found my dress yet," she said. "I know I want it to be form-fitting...Not too princessy."

Our favorite detail so far is their plan to avoid a classic Bachelor symbol in all of their wedding flowers. "No red roses," Giudici said. "We've turned a corner!"

As the winning couple inch closer to their big day, it's pretty clear that their love completely defies the laws of reality TV. "Not to sound too clichéd, but I fall more in love with her every day," Lowe said. "Watching Catherine walk down the aisle will be the best moment of my life."

We're completely swooning over here. We're so excited to see another Bachelor TV wedding like Ashley and J.P.'s. Someone stock up on tissues!
