Can You Believe These Wedding Dresses Are Made from Toilet Paper?

Cheap-Chic-Weddings.com just announced the winner of their Eighth Annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress contest, which challenges entrants to create dresses made entirely from toilet paper (plus glue, tape, and/or needle and thread). This year, the prizes were doubled, with the winner received $2012 and $1000 and $500 going to the runners-up.

For the second year in a row, 26-year-old aspiring artist and designer Susan Brennan, of Orchard Lake, MI, took home the grand prize!

With its free-spirited headpiece and ruffled skirt that reminds her of frosting, Susan calls her dress the Bohemian Cupcake. Made from 10 rolls of toilet paper, hot glue, packing tape, and needle and thead, she aimed to design a dress filled with flirty texture and tons of detail.

In second place: Katrina Chalifoux, a 50-year-old Electronics Technician and Certified Mechanic from Knoxville, TN.

Made from 28 double rolls of Charmin, medical tape, glue, and needle and thead, Katrina drew upon her love of costume design. Inspired by a lily, she aimed to create a garden of flowers on the gown. She's a three-time contestant and previously took home the grand prize in 2008.

In third: Jennifer Henry, a 31-year-old alternative material designer and stylist from Las Vegas, NV.

Throughout her career, she's made over 70 different designs from various unconventional materials, but this was her first toilet paper dress! Inspired by whipped cream and velvety texture of Charmin toilet paper, she used 36 rolls, packing tape, and double-stick tape to create this romantic gown.

What do you think of the dresses?
