Boston Marathon Bombings Survivor Got Married at Fenway Park

Even though Marc Fucarile lost his right leg in the Boston Marathon bombings last year, his childhood sweetheart and fiancee, Jen Regan, had one requirement when it came to marrying him: She wanted him to be able to dance on their wedding day.

Marc is in a wheelchair most of the time, since he also has severe burns on his left leg.


"We'll get married as soon as he's able to dance," Jen told Cosmopolitan. "That's my deal."

Jen and Marc, who were engaged at the time of the marathon, wed last Thursday at Fenway Park as Marc stood for most of his wedding day and happily danced the first and last dances.

Guests arrived in swan boats; Jen and Marc's five-year-old son, Gavin, was the best man; and to top it all off, the couple was surprised and serenaded by special guests the Dropkick Murphys.
