Brooklyn Decker's Tips for Relationship Bliss

By Ashley Mateo, SELF magazine

With Valentine's Day around the corner, we turned to cover girl Brooklyn Decker for relationship advice (her hubby is tennis pro Andy Roddick). Her number one tip? "Let yourself fall in love, even if it seems scary!"

Go to bed happy.
Just resolve it. Just get through it. I think that's in any relationship--friendship, a girlfriend, a husband someone you love. If you figure your stuff out before you go to bed for the night, you won't sleep on anything bad, nothing will build up, you'll never resent each other. You've got to get through your issues before the day ends. It's really important.

Allow your partner to have their own strengths.
I don't try to convince [Andy] to do any modeling in bathing suits and he doesn't try to convince me to play tennis. We leave each other to our own strengths. He got to come to set which was nice. He's very proud. I think he's happy to see me happy doing something. As much as I loved my modeling career, there's something so stimulating about this. To see someone really happy doing what they do, it's a nice thing for any partner to see.

Laugh together.
On a romantic night, I have the most fun when I'm seeing music or going to a comedy show. It's not a crazy night out, but you do get to do something special. It's all very fun.
