Did Taylor Swift Crash a Kennedy Family Wedding?

Not everyone is trilled to have a celebrity wedding crasher.

Over the weekend, Taylor Swift, 22, joined her boyfriend Conor Kennedy, 18, at his cousin's wedding. But according to the mother of the bride, Victoria Gifford Kennedy, Swift was not a welcome guest-and even refused to leave after being asked to do so. Victoria told the Boston Herald that she received a text from Conor about an hour before the ceremony asking if he and Swift could attend (we think someone needs to read up on his wedding etiquette…).

"I responded with a very clear, 'Please do not come,'" Victoria has said. "They came anyway… I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, and asked her as nicely as I could to leave. It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me."

While Swift's spokesperson Paula Erikson denies the claim and insists that Swift was an invited guest ("The bride thanked her profusely for being there," she said), we couldn't help but wonder what we'd do in this situation.

Let's pretend your cousin is dating someone super famous. Would you let him bring his date, or would you worry that the celeb guest would steal the spotlight and cause a commotion?
