"Fifty Shades" Casting Has Officially Begun…But the Rumors Continue

We've been speculating for months about who might play whip-bearing lovers Ana Steele and Christian Grey but we may not have to wait much longer for a concrete answer. According to multiple sources, casting has-finally-begun. (Eeeeeee!)

According to a post on Acting-Auditions.org, Fifty Shades is officially in pre-production, which is movie-speak for "actually happening now," and a casting page has been set up for agents and managers to submit their actor clients. However, the submissions had to be made quickly: The site says in an update that the casting info page was removed after just a couple days.

Maybe that means the perfect contenders for the starring roles have already been found?

Still, until an official announcement is made, we expect that rumors will continue to swirl about who exactly will play Ana and Christian. A recent, though unnamed, "online poll" shows that Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke (pictured above) tops fans' lists of who should play Miss Steele and we could totally see her in the role. (Though, after playing the Mother of Dragons, would she be believable as the somewhat naïve Ana?)

As far as Mr. Gray is concerned, Ian Somerhalder and The Gos are still frontrunners among fans, although rumor has it Somersmolder is not being considered. We're all for foreplay, but come on, movie peeps, and hurry it up!
