If this truck's a-rockin', don't come a-knockin'.

Out: rent-by-the-hour hotel rooms. In: rent-by-the-hour trucks? Or at least, someone is trying to make fetch trucks happen in San Francisco. According to the Huffington Post, "the Hook-Up Truck " is a new venture by conceptual artist Spy Emerson. On the outside, it's a regular old delivery truck. On the inside, however, it's a private room equipped with furniture, mood lighting, temperature control, complimentary condoms, and a "camera-ready option." (Yikes to that last one.)

According to the official website, the Hook-Up Truck can be used "for immediate dispatch" in conjunction with your favorite mobile dating app, or can be pre-booked for festivals, weddings, or parties. (Re: weddings: Should a hookup truck be the new photo booth of reception fun? Um.) It'll set you back $75 for 30 minutes while parked or $2,500 for a five-hour party rental package with staff and crew. According to the founder, lots of different kinds of people are using it, from people who need privacy, like single moms or those with roommates, to kinkier users who just like the adventure of it.

If anyone wants to start a similar business in another area of the country, might I suggest naming it "Feels on Wheels"? Just a thought.

Would you be into the mobile aspect of hooking up in a truck like this? Or do you prefer a good old-fashioned hotel/your own bed?
