What's a world without friends, anyway?

Probably a pretty dull one, we would imagine. But lucky for us, no such world exists. Especially in Hollywood, there are tons of loyal celebrity duos like George & Brad, Jennifer & Courteney and other besties that are proud to flaunt their friendships in front of the world. In some cases, they even start working together!

Today, in honor of Best Friends Day, we choose our favorite celebrity best friends - the pairs that we love to see together and the ones that remind us what friendship is all about!

1. George Clooney and Brad Pitt
It's taking everything we have to contain ourselves when it comes to the magnitude of wonderful we have going on in this pair! These two members of Hollywood royalty have been friends for as long as we can remember. We have to admit. their friendship makes us a little envious - we want to be a part of this cool, little club! 2. Michelle Williams and Busy Phillips
These gals may have both had flings with Joshua Jackson's Pacey Witter on Dawson's Creek, but in real life, the actresses are still best buds. They've been seen together on the red carpet several times, and even though Michelle has recently started dating Jason Segel, it's often Busy who's right there by her side for major award ceremonies. If that isn't friendship, we don't know what is.

3. Vinny and Paul D
If we were going to mention Jersey Shore anywhere in this list, we had to include these two! In the last season of the MTV show, when Vinny moved out of the Shore House it was Pauly D who was most affected by his move.
