How much is love worth? $267,000 to be exact

A UK study has determined the monetary value of different phrases by polling 1,000 British citizens about events crucial to their happiness and comparing that to the joy bestowed upon recent lottery winners. Perhaps it's not the most scientific of studies, but we were intrigued by the results.

  • "Going on holiday" is worth $151,735

  • "Making love" is worth $173,990

  • "Being in a stable relationship" is worth $256,063

  • "I love you" is worth $267,000

So much for love being priceless. Is having someone tell you they love you worth $267,000? Would you rather just have the cash? Is the idea of putting a price on a phrase a joke? Weigh in below and feel free to make up your own prices below. [Jezebel]
