A bridesmaid's wedding-day responsibilities are fairly straightforward and can be boiled down to the following maxim: don't upstage the bride. However, if you're Jennifer Lawrence, you could wear a paper bag over your head during the ceremony and, like, hide in the kitchen for the entire reception, and you would still be the only thing anyone at the wedding would be talking about.

J. Law was a bridesmaid at her brother's wedding this past October, and she appears on the cover of the latest issue of Martha Stewart Real Weddings. And . . . we imagine if you showed this cover to 100 Americans, 99 would notice Jennifer Lawrence before looking at the bride. As if she wasn't pulling enough focus just by being her, Lawrence is also the only bridesmaid who isn't leaning down, almost as if she's owning the upstaging ("I know you're looking at me, anyway . . ."). But, hey, don't feel too bad for this bride: her wedding is in Martha Stewart's magazine, and she gets to spend every Thanksgiving from here on out with Jennifer Lawrence.

If we know Lawrence by now (and boy doesn't it feel like we do!), she probably cracked a bawdy joke right before the picture was taken, stumbled on her way down from the patio, and asked when the cake would be coming out at least seven times.
