Jessica Alba and her husband, Cash Warren, celebrated their five year anniversary on Monday, May 19. Letting her hubby - and the world - know just how blissful those five years have been, Alba posted two collages that she made of some of the couple's happiest moments together on Instagram. "#mylove+myheart+mybestfriend+myconfidant ur my everything, I love u... To another #5yrs #HappyAnniversary."
Taking a more humorous approach to publicly displaying his affection, Warren tweets: "5 years ago today I married my soul mate @jessicaalba & my hair immediately turned grey. Go figure... #truelove #happyanniversary."

Despite the busy life of parenting a three and five year old daughter, the two prioritize their efforts to keep the romance going strong. In her exclusive blog for iVillage, Alba explains: "Whether we're settling into the couch to watch bad reality telelvision or getting a babysitter so we can enjoy a date night out, we always know we have dedicated time after the girls are asleep to catch up, discuss what's on our minds, and simply just be with each other (no cell phones or e-mail allowed!)."
Alba goes on to talk about how they don't allow themselves to take their relationship for granted. The exhaustions of the week can make any couple lose focus on the romance and put it aside with the assumption it will still be there tomorrow. That's why Alba swears by scheduling daily alone-time. "Having time to see a movie or enjoy a glass of wine by yourself - let alone with your husband... feels like an impossibility or a far-off dream," she says. "But I can assure you it's not."
Alba and Warren aren't the only celebrity couple in favor of routine to keep the romance alive. Since getting married on April 30, 2008, Mariah Carey and husband, Nick Cannon have renewed their vows every year. Changing it up from last year's anniversary by the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Carey and Cannon celebrated their five-year in Disneyland with their little prince and princess by their sides.
While most of us don't have the means to fly across the world every year, there is something to be said for scheduled date-nights. Perhaps it could be as simple as eating breakfast together in the morning, or dinner together after work. Spicy surprises are great, and if you could sprinkle some in here or there, then kudos to you, but maybe it takes a little predictable consistency to make a marriage last through all of life's chaos. It does seem to be working for Jessica!
To another five years! Happy Anniversary, Cash and Jessica.More from Bridal Guide:
