Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard's June 21 wedding is only four days away, and we can't wait! But luckily, we've gotten to see all the festivities leading up to their wedding day. The cute couple had a pink and green themed wedding shower - and recently had another prewedding party as well that you may have never heard of.
Jill and Derick's friends gave them a pounding party, also known as a pound party - and trust us, it isn't what you're thinking.

A pounding party is derived from an old-fashioned Quaker tradition where newlyweds are given pounds of flour, sugar and other goods from their friends to stock their pantry - and is more modernly known as a housewarming party. And although we're pretty sure Jill and Derick aren't living together yet due to their religious upbringing, maybe Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are storing their gifts for them until then.
Jill posted a picture to Instagram of the celebration and wrote, "Our sweet friends gave us a 'pounding' today! Can't wait to marry my best friend!"

In the photo, Jill and Derick are surrounded by their friends and appear to be wearing goggles and having a marshmallow eating contest. Hey, what happens at pounding parties stays at pounding parties.
