Kate Middleton Picked the Wrong Wedding to Skip

Outside the church in Alnwick, England, there was a full blown battle of the hats. In one corner was fan favorite Pippa Middleton wearing a claw from a toy-grabbing machine on her head.

This past weekend was like the Big Chill for royals. Prince Harry's close friends, Tom Van Straubenzee and Lady Melissa Percy, got hitched and everyone was there-Prince William, Beatrice, Eugenie, Pippa, you know, the whole gang. The only missing link was Kate Middleton, who bowed out at the last minute, because when you're almost nine month's pregnant and a Duchess, you can play that card. Not to make her feel bad, but this party had everything: chariots, ex-girlfriends, little Peter Pans. Here are some highlights.
