We're assuming the 40-day French residency law that threatened to get in the way of their romantic nuptials was just a mere obstacle, because E! News reported extensive details today on the gorgeous castle that Kimye visited over the weekend.

The couple was spotted at the Château Louis XIV (pictured below), a reconstruction of a classic 17th century palace, built between 2008 and 2011. The property, located in Louveciennes, is just 20 minutes west of Paris. Kimye was likely drawn in by it's Versailles-like features (it has a reproduction of the Chariot of Apollo fountain sculpture and similar expansive gardens), as they initially wanted to tie the knot at the historic palace.

According to E!, the Château Louis XIV is a more than adequate substitute. The over 54,000-square-foot palace features 14 different kinds of rare marble, extensive gold leaf throughout the home, a grand salon with 50-foot ceilings, a home theater, a wine cellar, an indoor racquetball court, an indoor swimming pool complete with its own spa and massage room, a meditation room, a nightclub (perfect for an all-night after-party), and a grand terrace with a double staircase leading to another swimming pool. And last, but not least, there's also a lounge area with all-glass walls and ceilings so you feel like you're underwater.

With all of those over-the-top amenities, we're sure they'll still find some space to accommodate their 150 guests for the ceremony and reception. It also sounds like a great backdrop for what we're sure is going to be an unforgettable wedding dress.

Before they departed Paris, the twosome hit up a few fashion houses: Balmain, Givenchy, and Lanvin. If Kim doesn't pick one of the Bridal Fashion Week gowns we chose for her, or one of the dresses we had sketches commissioned for her, it's likely that her wedding dress will come from one of those three famed (and Kanye-approved) designers.
