Ladies, would you date a former stripper?

Ray Tamarra/Getty ImagesRay Tamarra/Getty ImagesUsually this question would apply more to men, but last night we stumbled on a pretty racy video of "G.I. Joe" star Channing Tatum taking his clothes off on stage. The 29-year-old actor perhaps best known for his dancing in "Step Up" was busting a move back in 1999 as part of a Chippendales-style revue called Male Encounter. Back then, 18-year-old Tatum performed under the alias "Chan Crawford" in the Florida club for a year. A typical routine involved lip-synching, dancing, stripping down to a thong, and touching his privates for $50 a night plus tips. "He was shy at first, but he really knew how to work the stage," says former club owner London Steele. "The women went crazy for him!"

It ended up being a useful gig for Tatum--a female casting agent liked what she saw and put him in Ricky Martin's "She Bangs" music video. Then his acting career started to take off.

Though many people strip on stage to make money with the intet to move on, it is a more questionable line of work. Would you feel weird dating someone who used to take their clothes off for cash? Would you feel better about their stripping career if it was far in the past? [US]

Here is a NSFW clip of one of Tatum's old routines. Take a look and tell us what you think.
