No American Horror Story Here: Co-Stars Emma Roberts and Evan Peters Are Engaged!

Proving that love can emerge from even the scariest situations, American Horror Story: Coven co-stars Emma Roberts and Evan Peters are engaged. Peters reportedly proposed to his girlfriend of nearly two years in New York City over the holidays. Extra stated that he popped the question with a gold, pink diamond engagement ring.

Neither Roberts nor Peters has confirmed the news, but photographer Tyler Shields congratulated the couple by posting the image seen below to his Instagram of Roberts flying into Peters' arms from the set of their hit FX show.

"Congrats to @emmaroberts6 on her engagement love you! It's important to marry someone who is there to catch you when you fall..." he captioned the whimsical photo.

Though she is Runaway Bride Julia Roberts' niece, Emma doesn't seem like the type to get cold feet before walking down the aisle!

Roberts and Peters' joyous news comes after a tumultuous summer: They were arrested in July after Roberts was arrested for domestic violence against Peters during a heated argument in a hotel in Montreal. Soon after, though, the alarming turn of events was cleared up.

"It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding. Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it," reps for the stars told Us Weekly at the time.

Another source told Us after the incident that it was a result of their intense love, not out of harm. "They're a couple young kids. Their romance is pretty extreme. They just behave in a way that's very passionate."

We're sure that it brought them closer together and served as a learning lesson, if nothing else.
