One Direction's Zayn Malik is Engaged to Girlfriend Perrie Edwards

One Direction's Zayn Malik is engaged after proposing to his girlfriend, Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.

Edwards' mother Deborah confirmed the news to Real Radio, saying, "Yes, it's true. They got engaged on Sunday and it's absolutely lovely. It's wonderful because Zayn is absolutely gorgeous and Perrie loves him to pieces. It's just perfect and they get on so well together. It's just fabulous."

"Zayn and Perrie are engaged, but any further detail regarding their relationship is private," a label rep added.

Engagement rumors swirled at the red carpet for One Direction: This is Us when Edwards arrived with Malik wearing a telltale three-stone diamond engagement ring on her left ring finger.

Edwards is a member of the British girl group, Little Mix, which formed in 2011 during the eighth season of the U.K.'s The X Factor. One Direction also formed on the U.K. version of The X Factor in 2010 and placed third in the competition.

Though they're both young (20 years old each!) they seem to be completely in love-he does, after all, have a likeness of her face tattooed on his arm. We see a glamorous, blowout bash studded with music royalty in their future!
