Phone Sex Dialog: Are Your Panties Wet?

In an ongoing effort to improve in those areas of intimate seduction where I may not be most proficient, I sometimes explore the possibility of experimenting with erotic trends that, for one reason or another, I've avoided due to lack of expertise. And one of the few areas where my seductive skills may not be up to par, is in the realm of phone sex.

My girlfriend and I, as much as we can't seem to get enough of each other, are challenged by not being able to be together as much as we'd like. But, I want to be able to rock her world, whether I'm in the same room with her or not. I want to move her in a way that, even if she's in the midst of shopping for cat food, she can think of something I've said and her stomach starts to flutter.

Now, I've listened to other guys boast about being phone sex pros, but most of their talk is about their own fulfilling experience. My question is, but what about the woman? Somehow I get a mental picture of their partners sitting on the other end of the line in curlers watching "Girlfriends" on TV saying "oh baby,oh baby... right there baby", while smoking a cigarette and eating Chee-toes. And honestly, I'd like to know that I'm having a much greater impact than that.

I'm also aware of some of the clichéd terminology that seem to be the standards for phone sex; "Are you wearing panties?" What color panties are you wearing?" "Are your panties getting wet (I'll admit, I've recently used that one)?" And, "Are you touching it, baby?" But, once again, I get that image of a woman flipping a hamburger saying "Oh yeah, baby" to all of the above.

It's not easy for a guy to admit that he's not an absolute stud in every area of the sexual experience, but I'm the kind of guy who'd rather admit his shortcomings than make a fool of himself. So, I'm reaching out for help.

Are there some things that are failure-proof in igniting those fires? Or, is it like kids playing football in the streets, making up plays on the fly? What works for you?
