Is it just us, or have an awful lot of celebrities been getting engaged lately? As in, more than usual? Because it seems to us that at least a couple of times a week, we're writing about this person getting engaged or that person secretly eloping. But you know what the best part of all these celeb engagements is? The rings, of course! We may not be able to afford these massive rocks ourselves, but we certainly love oozing over them anyway. So here you go, Bettys: From Anne Hathaway to Halle Berry, here are our favorite celeb engagement rings from the past couple of months. Get ready to drool!
1. Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway and Adam Schulman got engaged in November before finally letting us see the ring in December. Spotted at the New York premiere of The Iron Lady, the diamond is emerald-cut and set on a diamond-studded band. The best part? Adam went to Kwiat Jewelers to make it all happen-and Kwiat uses only certified conflict-free diamonds. Beautiful AND globally friendly!
2. Jessica Biel
It Jessica a while to get comfortable sporting her rock in public, but we're sure glad she got there eventually-it's a real stunner! It features scrolling rope-style sides, which give it that vintage feel, while the center diamond, which we suspect is either radiant- or princess-cut, is a might six carats. A jeweler talking to US Weekly estimated the price tag of the bling at $130,000. Wowzers!
3. Britney Spears
Jason Trawick went to celebrity jewelry Neil Lane when he decided to pop the question to the pop princess-and he wanted a ring FIT for a princess at that. As such, the sparkler is designed to look like a tiny tiara, with a white 3.5-carat diamond set in a handmade platinum setting that Lane described as "mini crown." And if that wasn't enough, 90 itty bitty round diamonds circle the handmade platinum setting. How's that for some royal bling?
4. Courtney Robertson
Well, mean girl Courtney Robertson and Bachelor Ben Flajnik's relationship may baffle us, but at least the ring is pretty? Or something Anyway, like Britney, Courtney's ring was designed by Neil Lane, so it's a pretty impressive piece of bling. It features a cushion-cut, 3-plus-carat diamond accented by 96 round-cut diamonds, with the whole thing set in platinum. The design has a leaf-and-floral motif, with three tulip leaves on each side of the ring. Naturally, it was pricey: $50,000, to be exact. What do you think? Will this romance last?
5. Halle Berry
Halle's honey, French actor Olivier Martinez, decided to set aside the standard diamond in favor of something a little more unusual: A gorgeous green emerald. Designed by Robert Mazlo, the ring boasts a perfect emerald perched between two diamonds in a gold setting forged according to an ancient Phoenician tradition. There are also a whole bunch of tiny codes and symbols etched secretly into the surface that tell the couple's story. How romantic!
6. Sienna Miller
Oddly enough, Sienna Miller, who is an absolutely gorgeous human being, wins the award for least flattering engagement ring photo ever. That aside, though, the ring is pretty fantastic. Fiancé Tom Sturridge apparently proposed to Sienna during a romantic trip to Paris after Christmas and presented her with this beauty, a vintage Victorian ring. Speculation says that it's probably a white gold or platinum setting. Oh, and she's pregnant, too-think the wedding will happen before the baby arrives?
7. Camila Alves
Matthew McConaughey made this past Christmas ultra memorable to longtime love Camila Alves-by finally proposing to her. The ring showed up two weeks later, and it's a beauty! The center diamond is of an unusual cut, too-rose-cut-adding to the uniqueness of the ring. It's flanked on either side by two smaller diamonds. Nice going, Matthew!
8. Snooki
Snooki's pregnancy and subsequent engagement took us all by surprise-but that didn't stop us from ogling over her ring. Fiancé Jionni LaValle worked hand in hand with B&B Jewelers in Wayne, New Jersey to design Snooki's custom engagement ring. For the curious, it's an eternity band with two carats of diamonds topped with a 3.2-carat princess-cut diamond set in platinum. The cost? $55,000.
9. Drew Barrymore
Will Kopelman took a lot of time picking out the perfect ring for Drew; and it paid off, too, because the one he chose is just beautiful. It features a four-carat, radiant-cut diamond situated on a diamond-covered band and was designed by Graff Diamonds. This will be Drew's third marriage, after two short ones to Tom Green in 2001 and Jeremy Thomas in 1994. Let's hope the third time's the charm!
10. Amber Rose
Once attached to Kanye West (yo, I'ma let you finish, but…), Amber Rose thankfully moved beyond him to rapper Wiz Khalifa-and the ring he put on it is nothing short of fabulous. The 4-prong oval diamond is set in a rose gold band. See what he did there? Rose for the rose? Nice detail, Wiz!
BONUS: Natalie Portman's Wedding Ring
It's not an engagement ring, but it's still worth noting: The Internet exploded shortly after the Oscars when a number of sites pointed out that it looked like Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied were sporting brand-new wedding bands. And hey, guess what? We're pretty sure it's true, because although the marriage itself hasn't been confirmed, the rings have been confirmed by the jeweler who made them as wedding rings. Like Natalie's massive engagement ring, the eco-friendly wedding rings were designed by Jamie Wolf with recycled platinum and conflict-free diamonds.
