Science Proves Why You Fall For The Guy Who’s Just Not That Into You
File this study under: Ughhh. New research claims that when a guy isn't sure how he feels about a woman (or keeps her in the dark regarding his feelings), she tends to feel more attracted to him.

The findings, which were published in the journal Psychological Science, just confirm what many people already suspected: not only does playing hard to get work, but so does playing hard to read. An article on ScienceDaily.com explained it this way: "If Sarah is not sure how much Bob likes her...this might lead Sarah to spend a lot of time thinking about Bob, wondering how he feels, and she might find him more attractive the more she dwells on him."

The study was conducted by taking female students at the University of Virginia and showing them Facebook profiles of four guys (the profiles were made up, but the women didn't know that). The scientists told the women that their own profiles had been viewed by the guys. One section of women was told that the men liked their profiles the most. Another group was told that the guys felt so-so about them. And the third group of subjects weren't told how the guys felt about them.

The women who knew that the guys were interested reported feeling attracted to the men. But the women who had no idea if those men were interested reported even higher levels of attraction.
