The 2008 Sex Toy Awards results are in!

There's no red carpet, or worst dressed, or canned presenter banter, or melodramatic acceptance speeches. But there may just be orgasms for you in it, which automatically makes the Sex Toy Awards way better than the Oscars (unless you're a really, rilly big George Clooney fan). Sex toy retailer LoveHoney.co.uk teamed up with Company magazine and picked 20 real women to road-test ten top-rated toys that hit the market in the last year and pick the best of the bunch. Here are the winners (one of which we think is a real loser) and their U.S. equivalents:

OVERALL WINNER: The Delight

It's by our fave manufactory, Fun Factory, natch. We agree, you can't get closer to perfection than this. Available at Babeland and most decent U.S. sex toy retailers.

BEST FOR ORGASMS: Jessica Rabbit 2.0
This is a LoveHoney original, so if you don't want to ship in from England, go for Vibratex's Elastomer Rabbit habit -- it's not waterproof like the Jessica but it's well-made and phthalate-free.

BEST FOR VALUE: Supersex Bullet
Designed by U.K. sexpert Tracey Cox. A comparable U.S. version is the Onye.

BEST FOR COUPLES: Durex Play Touch Finger Vibrator
Again, this looks like a British thang, so go for the Fukuoku 9000 stateside, or upgrade to the Chandra and Isis by Emotional Bliss.

BEST FOR BATH: Ultra 7 Waterproof Hummer
This one is made of jelly rubber and contains phthalates that automatically means we're not into it, and we don't think it should be into you, if you know what we mean. We're not even sure how this one got on their short list. Hence, we're not linking to it. If you're looking for something waterproof, go with the Water Dancer, the Rock Chick, or the Fun Factory's Sinful Intensity.
