The Surprising Ingredient Proven to Boost Your Sex Life

Apparently it's possible to literally spice up your love life.

Consuming ginseng and saffron is thought to boost performance in the bedroom, say researchers at University of Guelph in Canada. The study, to be published in the journal Food Research International, claims that these two spices are natural aphrodisiacs.

Ginseng is available in many bottled teas (just check the label) and is a common ingredient in Korean food. It can also be consumed in the form of a supplement or a candy. To get a dose of saffron, order the rice-based dish, paella, at a Spanish restaurant or buy a container of it at the grocery store and sprinkle it on chicken sandwiches, roast turkey, or in soup.

Though more studies are needed, the scientists examined hundreds of foods and drinks that are thought to make sex hotter. And lead researcher Massimo Marcone claimed that their study "is the most thorough scientific review to date".
