If slow and steady wins the race in confirming an engagement, then Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are in for some sweet victory. After staying mum about their rumored wedding, Depp finally verified the nuptial news by wearing an unusual piece of jewelry while promoting his new movie Transcendence in Beijing according to the Associated Press.

"The fact that I'm wearing a chick's ring on my finger is probably a dead giveaway. Not very subtle," Depp replied when a reporter asked if the single diamond set on a band around his ring finger meant that he is, in fact, engaged. An insider explained to Us Weekly that he's sporting Heard's engagement ring because it was "too big for her, so he started wearing it."

With "man-gagement" rings becoming an unexpected trend, we're not surprised that the quirky Depp would embrace it in his own unique way.

Sources confirmed the couple's engagement back in January, after Heard was spotted wearing a conspicuous bauble on her left ring finger - her efforts to hide the engagement ring after photographers noticed it were for naught. Friends of the couple said that they'd been engaged for a while, and the pair even held an engagement party at The Carondelet House on March 14.

After confirming he did propose to the gorgeous actress, Depp dished even more wedding details - well, sort of. "I think that I would be better at making women's shoes than I would be at wedding planning, I can't plan anything," he charmingly explained. "I'm really bad at that stuff."

If Heard's crazy-glamorous style is any indication, she'll plan a stunning celebration on her own. We can't wait to see the kind of whimsical wedding that the Rum Diaries co-stars will host!
